Redline started with a lifelong passion for cars, and today we protect the businesses built around them.

I’m Michael Canepa, founder of Redline Insurance Agency. I’ve spent my life building, restoring, buying and enjoying cars, and I run motorsports events myself, so I understand that insurance isn’t just about replacing something on paper. It’s about protecting the things you’ve worked hard to build.

Redline specializes in commercial insurance for California’s automotive world: auto repair and body shops, tire and wheel, wrap and tint, performance and fabrication, restoration shops, used car dealers, and every trade in between. And we insure the track side of car culture: track day and HPDE organizers, driving schools, race teams, karting programs, car clubs, and film and precision driving work.

Because we’re independent, we’re not tied to one insurance company. We shop multiple carriers for garage risks and place motorsports coverage through the specialty markets built for participant exposure, instead of forcing every client into the same policy.

For shop owners, that means garagekeepers limits that reflect what’s actually in your bays on a busy Friday, workers comp on the right class codes, and someone who knows why a spray booth changes your market.

For motorsports operators, it means the certificate your track or production contract actually requires, participant liability your standard policy excludes, and a broker who has stood in your paddock.

For car enthusiasts, we still properly insure the machines themselves: modified builds, appreciating classics, and collector vehicles with agreed value coverage.

And when something doesn’t make sense, I’ll tell you.
